This is a well-made folded steel Katana, following the traditional Japanese process. The blade is very sharp and folded 13 times resulting in 8,192 layers. The visible grain pattern on the blade comes from folding the blade repeatedly during forging. The blade is then heat-treated, tempered, and oil quenched to achieve optimal levels of flexibility and hardness, bright and sharp enough to cut fruit, bamboo, water bottles, and so on

Tsuba is made of round black iron, beautifully carved. The kasira-pommel/fuchi is made of black iron, the Seppa is made of yellow pure copper, and the Habaki is made of Yellow pure copper. There is no need to worry about its fading and discoloration. The handle is made of wood, covered with black artificial fishskin inside, wrapped with golden cotton rope outside, the sheath is made of wood and has a fine grain pattern

Differential hardened and clay tempered, water quenched and polished.This blade is polished and sharpened by 14 different process.The hardness has reached 60 HRC.

PERFORMANCE -The blade has the Shinogi-Zukuri Shape.The Japanese top Hitatsura Hamon pattern is done in the same process as the traditional method.It requires a lot of skills. The sword is strong enough for cutting thick bamboo, small trees, bones, iron and copper wire. It is a highly recommended sword for serious collectors.

MATERIAL - The blade is made of Clay Tempered L6 Steel Hitatsura Hamon,The saya (Sheath) made of real hard wooden with lacquer work finished.The Tsuka (Handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over Genuine Ray Skin (Samegawa) with black ito wrapped.,the Tsuba , Kashira ,fuchi and Seppa of the sword was made of High Quality Japanese brass. The Habaki is made of yellow pure copper.
